Transparency policy
Version 1.0 (01-01-2024)
At the Church of Cyberology we believe in fostering a culture of openness, honesty and accountability. This policy outlines why transparency is important to us, what it means to us and how and when we are transparent. If you have any questions about transparency, please contact mail@cyberology.nl.
1 Why transparency
Transparency and being open fosters trust by demonstrating that the church leadership operates with integrity and honesty. When the church community and parties that are interested in collaborating have access to information about the church’s finances, plans and operations, they can feel confident that their contributions and (possible) involvement are handled responsibly.
In addition transparency holds church leaders accountable for their actions and decisions. By being transparent about the church’s finances, plans and operations, we are held to a higher standard of accountability. This accountability helps ensure that the Church of Cyberology operates in the best interest of its community.
2 What does transparency mean
Transparency means different things to different people. That’s why we are explicit on what transparency means for us.
- The church organization structure and the responsibilities and tasks of the active bodies and ministries are publicly available.
- Church plans and policies aimed at the church community will be made available by default. Internal policies such as HR regulations and plans and policies that the board determined to be too sensitive for publication aren’t published by default.
- We will provide regular updates on our financial activities, such as our aggregated income and expenses (income statement), budget allocation and any significant planned expense.
- Any personally identifiable information linked to finances will never be made public, unless explicit consent has been given.
- We provide full transparency on all reimbursement for expenses to and attendence/renumeration fees for work done by board members.
